Cranberry supervisors approved settlements of the Walmart and MSA tax-assessment appeals on August 27, setting assessed values for the 2026 and 2027 tax years and authorizing tax-bill adjustments and refunds. All four supervisors shown in each voting table voted yes. The minutes establish the settlements, but do not state the prior assessments or the amount of money to be refunded. [Pages 6–7]

For Walmart at 20245 Route 19, the settlement sets an assessed value of $900,000 for both 2026 and 2027. The case is listed at Butler County docket 25-40369. For MSA at 400 Bertha Lamme Drive, docket 2025-40370, the assessed value is $1,275,000 for 2026 and $1,335,000 for 2027. These figures are assessed values, not sale prices or refund amounts. Solicitor Michael Palombo told supervisors that the county and school district had also settled the appeals, according to the minutes. That is the solicitor's recorded account; the township minutes do not include those bodies' settlement orders. Without the former assessments, applicable tax rates and refund calculations, this record cannot establish the fiscal effect on township, county or school finances. [Page 7]

The board separately adopted Resolution 2026-53 to submit a Municipal Assistance Program grant application to the Pennsylvania Department of Community & Economic Development for an update to Cranberry's comprehensive plan. The minutes describe the proposed funding as support for the final phase of professional planning services, including development and adoption of the plan. The vote authorizes an application; it does not establish a grant award or adoption of the completed plan. No requested dollar amount appears in this entry. [Page 8]

These two decisions have different follow-up needs. The tax settlements require the underlying calculations to show the public revenue and refund consequences. The planning application requires a subsequent funding decision and plan record before residents can assess what work was funded or what policies were adopted. This account reports the actions recorded on August 27, with those later outcomes still to be verified. [Pages 6–8]
