Families heading to Cranberry Township's Great Pumpkin Festival on Friday, October 23 can plan for two overlapping parts of the evening: festival activities from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. and an outdoor showing of 2019's “The Addams Family” starting at 7 p.m.12

The free, rain-or-shine event takes place at the Municipal Center and Armstrong Great Lawn, 2525 Rochester Road. The township describes the festival as designed for children ages 1–8, with all ages welcome, and encourages costumes.1

A quieter option and a story walk

The township says a sensory-friendly room will be available. Its announcement and event listing do not identify the room's location or separate operating hours. Families who need those details can contact Parks and Recreation at 724-779-4386, the number listed on the township's Special Events page, before traveling.13

Outside, the published activities include a pumpkin patch, pumpkin decorating, games, crafts, snacks and a photobooth. A self-guided story walk around the Great Lawn will feature “Here a Creak, There a Shriek!” by Kelly Conroy.1

Read the festival and movie times separately

The official combined calendar entry gives an overall window of 5:30–9 p.m. Its description places the festival activities at 5:30–7:30 p.m. and the movie's start at 7 p.m.; it does not state a separate movie end time. Families can use those distinctions when deciding which portion to attend.2

The current Special Events page and calendar entry are linked below for any later township updates. This guide does not establish additional parking arrangements, reservations or accessibility services beyond the sensory-friendly room the township has announced.
