Cranberry residents who cannot rake and collect their leaves can request a volunteer match through the township's Leaf Angels program. Assistance requests opened October 12, according to the township's announcement, and the current program page says raking begins November 3.12
The service is a single visit during the season, not recurring leaf removal. A match depends on enough volunteers signing up, and the township explicitly says assistance is not guaranteed. Residents should keep that limit in mind when arranging other help.2
Volunteers can expect match notifications by email during the week of October 26. Once matched, residents and volunteers arrange a convenient visit themselves. The program page advises scheduling when most leaves on or around the property have fallen and says the season runs through the end of yard-waste collection on December 11, 2026.2
Volunteers must be at least 15 or accompanied by an adult. Teams are encouraged, and all yards are in Cranberry Township. Participants bring their own rakes, gloves and leaf bags. The township says bags will not be provided this year, so volunteers should coordinate with residents about use of a yard-waste cart.12
Collected leaves must go in yard-waste carts or biodegradable bags at the curb. Loose leaves and unapproved plastic bags are not accepted under the collection requirements described by the township.12
Both volunteers and residents requesting assistance must complete and electronically sign the applicable application before a match can be made. The township's program page is the starting point for current instructions. Requests may pause while additional volunteers sign up; submitting a request does not reserve a guaranteed visit.2
