CRANBERRY TOWNSHIP — The Cranberry Township Board of Supervisors will convene on Wednesday, May 7, 2026, at 6:30 PM to address a varied agenda that features several significant commercial land development proposals, a conditional use hearing for a new indoor sports facility, and the recognition of the Township’s award-winning communication team.
Residents and interested parties can attend the meeting in person to witness the board’s deliberations on upcoming projects that will shape the township's commercial and recreational landscape.
New Commercial and Recreational Developments on the Docket
Among the most substantial items on the agenda is a proposal for "North Pointe at Cranberry," a development project located at the intersection of Route 19 and Dutilh Road. The Supervisors will consider an application for Preliminary Land Development and Conditional Use for a Neighborhood Shopping Center situated on approximately 16.9 acres in the SU-1 zoning district.
The primary focus of this hearing will be a 7,320-square-foot Automobile Repair use, specifically designated for America's Tire. While the broader scope of the North Pointe project includes other retail and drive-thru components, the board is expected to vote specifically on the preliminary land development and conditional use approval for the automotive repair aspect of the plan at this meeting.
Route 19 will also be the focal point for a separate land development request involving "7 Brew." The Supervisors will review applications for Preliminary and Final Land Development alongside a Conditional Use request for a 770-square-foot Drive-thru Establishment. The proposed site is located at 20315 Route 19 on approximately 1.16 acres within the C-3 zoning district. The board is scheduled to adopt Resolution No. 2026-28 regarding this matter.
In a move to expand recreational offerings, the board will hold a conditional use hearing for "D-Bat," a commercial and private recreation facility. This proposal involves a 21,000-square-foot facility located at 250 W. Kensinger Drive, Suite 200, in the SP-1 zoning district. Following public comment, and provided no additional testimony is required, the hearing is expected to close. The Supervisors will then consider rendering a decision on the conditional use application.
Boylan Funeral Home Expansion and Lot Consolidation
The Board of Supervisors will also address two related land development matters concerning the Boylan Funeral Home located at 130 Wisconsin Avenue.
First, the Supervisors will vote on a request for Preliminary and Final Land Development for an expansion project. The proposal outlines an approximately 8,700-square-foot addition to the existing funeral home, which sits on a 2.8-acre parcel in the SU-1 zoning district. A motion to adopt Resolution No. 2026-25, granting the land development approval, is on the agenda.
Second, the Board will consider a Subdivision application for the same property. The applicant has requested a consolidation of two lots totaling approximately 2.79 acres. If approved, Resolution No. 2026-26 will grant the Preliminary and Final Subdivision for the Boylan Funeral Home Lot Consolidation.
Township Communications Team to be Honored
In a lighter segment of the evening, the Board will recognize the achievements of the Cranberry Township Communication Team. On the agenda is a communication item regarding an award from the Pennsylvania State Association of Township Supervisors (PSATS).
According to the agenda, the communication team was honored at the PSATS 2026 Excellence Awards ceremony on April 20, 2026. They received the "Outstanding Citizen Communication Award" for townships with a population over 5,000. The team swept multiple categories, securing first place in both the "Newsletter" and "Other Publications" categories, as well as a third-place finish in "Electronic Newsletters," "Multimedia Communications," and "Social Media."
Presentation on Flag Retirement Initiative
The meeting will also feature a presentation from Denise Etter, the coordinator of the "Retiring Old Glory" community service project. Etter will present to the Board regarding the initiative, which focuses on the collection and honorable retirement of American flags. This presentation is listed under the Manager's Office communications and will provide the public and the Board with more information on the service project's mission and methods.
The Board of Supervisors meeting will take place on Wednesday, May 7, 2026, at 6:30 PM. Members of the public are encouraged to attend to stay informed on these local developments and civic recognitions.
